A ROUTINE YOU CAN RETURN TO

Less passive listening.
More speaking practice.

Shadowing means listening to spoken English and repeating it aloud, following the rhythm and pronunciation. Your lesson gives that practice a clear structure.

01 / LISTEN

Hear the sentence.

Listen to the lesson audio. Adjust the playback speed and the pause between sentences to give yourself time to listen and repeat.

02 / SPEAK

Say it out loud.

Follow the voice and repeat aloud. Open the full sentence list to see all the sentences in the lesson together and review the phrases you want to practise.

03 / REVIEW

Listen to yourself.

Record your voice, compare your pronunciation and return to the phrases you want to practise.

THREE PASSES. VISIBLE PROGRESS.

Every stamp marks
a completed lesson pass.

Return to the same lesson in three stages. Each time you finish a pass, the lesson receives its next stamp: 1, 2, then 3. The aim is to move from understanding the sentences to practising with less support.

PASS 1 / UNDERSTAND

Listen with translation.

Listen to the English sentence, read the translation and repeat aloud. Use this first pass to understand the meaning and become familiar with the sound.

Finish the lesson to earn stamp 1.

PASS 2 / RECALL

Repeat without translation.

Go through the lesson again with the translation hidden by default. Focus on the English audio, recognise the meaning and repeat the phrases with less support.

Finish the second pass to earn stamp 2.

PASS 3 / SPEAK

Focus on your pronunciation.

Practise again with the lesson text hidden by default. You can choose microphone-based pronunciation feedback in a supported browser. When enabled, reach at least 60% for a sentence before moving on.

Finish the third pass to earn stamp 3.

What do 1, 2 and 3 mean?

They count completed passes of that lesson, not your English level or an exam score. Three stamps mean you have completed the three-pass practice cycle. You can keep revisiting the lesson afterwards; the display stays at three stamps until you reset your progress.

Start fresh whenever you want. Use the reset button (↻) in the web course and confirm to clear all lesson stamp counters and homework progress. You can then begin the three-pass cycle again from zero. This resets progress across the course, rather than just the current lesson. Your purchased access stays available.

Microphone checking is optional and depends on browser support. You can complete the third pass without it. Automated feedback is a practice aid, not a certified language assessment.

AFTER THE LESSON / VOCABULARY PRACTICE

Give new words
another way to stay.

Your homework brings lesson vocabulary into five different exercises. Practise listening, recognising, recalling and matching words, then review with flashcards.

A VOCABULARY SET FOR EVERY LESSON

    Learn the words.
    Keep the context.

Instead of putting every word from the course into one long dictionary, homework groups vocabulary by lesson. You practise the words connected to the topic you have just explored.

    A familiar situation

Connect a word with the sentences and situations from your lesson, so you can see where it belongs in a conversation.

    A manageable next step

Focus on one lesson’s vocabulary at a time. A short, focused review fits naturally after your speaking practice.

    A clear way back

Want to revisit shopping or travel vocabulary? Return to that lesson and practise its words again, without searching through the whole course.

    Included with your course access

Homework follows the vocabulary of your available lessons. The exercise menu shows what remains to practise and records your progress, so you can return to your learning.
